Summary 

Reporting to the logistics material handler oversees all areas of fulfilling orders for retail landscape material sales using front end loader, provides inventory level feedback to logistics manager and performs yard and warehouse housekeeping duties as required.

 Responsibilities 

• Receive retail sales orders over 2-way radio fulfill/load onto compact trucks and trailers using compact front end loader. Paying close attention to details of order including quantities and material requested.
• Monitor and provide feedback on inventory levels in yard and warehouse to logistics manager.
• Take care to utilize materials to their fullest extent looking for opportunities to save or reuse materials where possible.
• Monitor vehicle performance and inform dispatch or the maintenance manager of any concerns pertaining to vehicles mechanical or safety components.
• Perform housekeeping duties around shop, yard and warehouse as directed including sweeping lot using brush attached to front end loader and/or push broom.
• Bag landscape product as required to maintain inventory levels when yard traffic is at a minimum due to weather or slow times.
• Perform basic maintenance duties around yard and warehouse within abilities
• Monitor loader performance and immediately report deficiencies
• Lubricate equipment per manufacturer recommendations and top up fluids as necessary.
• Train on new equipment when requested
• Perform other related duties as assigned such as deliveries using 1-Ton pickup

• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Expertise and proven experience with safe workplace initiatives
• A valid NS driver's licence
• Access to a reliable vehicle considered an asset

Schedule/Hours:

• Schedule to be +/- 40 hours per week between Monday and Sunday
• Pay is determined by years of demonstrated experience.
